Now lets go through each of the items and see what they do and how you use them effectively.

5. Firstly, to enable URL Filtering we need to click on the "Enable" radio button. At this stage, I would also click on the "Apply" button.

6. Next up is the "Block Mode". This gives you four different time slots that you can use where the URL filter is enabled. Please see article Setting up Billion Time Schedule on how to setup time slots. If you want the URL filter to run all the time, just select "Always On" in the first drop down menu as shown below:

7. Next up is the "Keyword Filtering". With keyword filtering enabled, you can setup a list of key words that when they appear in the URL will cause the modem to block that URL from being displayed.

8. Next up is "Domains Filtering". With domain filtering you can block certain domains. ie www.facebook.com or you setup domains that are always trusted. ie www.jmgtechnology.com.au

10. Finally, if you want, you can setup an "Exception List". An exception list is simply a list of computers (by IP address) for whom the URL filtering rules do not apply.

In the example below, we have created an exception on 192.168.1.1 and called it ParentsPC.
