How to Configure Billion for Multiple VoIP Providers

The Billion 7404VGPX, 7404VGOX, 7404VNPX and 7404VNOX can have up to 10 different VoIP providers registered at any one time. There are two fixed providers for each of the two phone ports and then there are 8 user defined profiles that can be created.

The example below, shows how to create one fixed provider and one user defined profile so that both providers can be used on phone port 1.

1. Log into the web interface of your Billion Modem. On the menu on the left hand side, click on the "Advanced" option.

After clicking on the SIP Accounts menu item, on the right hand side of the screen you will see the SIP Accounts configuration screen. (See Figure 5 below).

5. The next step is to configure the provider we want to use for "Phone Port 1". To do this, we click on the "Edit" radio button next to phone port 1. We can now enter the VoIP provider details in the fields provided. After you have entered the SIP provider details, click the "Edit/Delete" button.

You should have now successfully setup a VoIP provider on fixed Phone Port 1.

For the fixed Phone Ports, you are unable to change the Profile Name or the Direct In Dial values

6. The next step is to setup a provider under one of the 8 extra user defined profiles. To do this, just start typing the SIP details of the provider into the fields provided.

The first thing you need to do is give the profile a name. In the above example we have given "Profile Name" = MaxoTel named after the SIP provider we are setting up. You can also setup which phone port you want the phone to ring on. In the example above we have chosen "Direct In Dial" = Phone Port 1. Once you have entered this information, you click the "Add" button.

After clicking the "Add" button, you should see the added user defined profile like the image below:

7. After you have configured some fixed port and user defined profiles, you should check the status of them to see whether they have successfully registered and perhaps setup a dial plan to use it.
